Follow The Sun - See NZ Through Our Eyes

Below I have curated a list of some of the epic places we have been in both the north and south island of our beautiful country New Zealand. I hope this list becomes your destination when you are wanting to add that little bit of something extra to your life.

Being out in nature and actually appreciating how lucky we are to have such a stunning backyard is a feeling next to none. So before you go and book that overseas trip, head back here and check out some spots nearby that you may not of seen yet! I hope sharing our favourite places, sparks up the inner adventurer within you too!

Please note we haven’t shared all of our spots as some we would like to remain untouched. Social media can have negative effects on beautiful places, so we don’t like to share all, to respect the nature and species that live within these serene areas - please note some places we go are also on private property and require permission from the land owners before entering. <3

My one wish for when you are exploring is please be present, actually admire what’s in front of you, don’t just go for a photo. Simply sit and be still, it will change your life i promise, but if you do take a pic tag me or Regan in it!!!! We absolutely love seeing you guys create awesome memories in some of our most treasured places!

SOUTH ISLAND

Momorangi Bay - A beautiful spot I use to camp with my family as a kid. Located in the Queen Charlotte sound this is a great base for any explorer looking to take on the Marlborough Sounds.

Anakiwa Bay

Lochmare Lodge

Pelorus Bridge - A great spot to swim in the summer time surrounded by beautiful scenery, Bug spray is 100% required though lol!!

Mt Cook National Park - We have adventured around this area many times and can never get enough. If you're looking for somewhere that truly will blow your mind, then Mt Cook National Park is a must! Suitable for those looking to see views from the car and by foot. The main track is also suitable for children.

Sunrise at Mitre Peak Milford Sound - A truly breathtaking place to explore, beat the crowds and watch the sunrise over the peak. Just don’t forget your bug spray they are often out in full force !!

Bobs Cove Queenstown

Walk the iconic wharf in Glenorchy

Sunset near the Remarkables Queenstown

Hokitika Gorge

Lake Hayes Walk

Lake Heron

Little Mt Peel - A hike that isn’t so little so don’t let the name fool you. It is however worth every complaint to get to the top, we went in winter which i wouldn’t advise as it is pretty hectic and icy but the views at the top of the Canterbury plains are insane!!

Charming Creek Walkway - Located on the West Coast of the South Island this will always be a special spot for us as it’s where Regan got down on one knee!! For the best views of the waterfall head off track into the bush and boulder climb to get to the base of the waterfall

Punakaiki Beach walk

Washpen Falls

Devils Punchbowl

Coopers Knob

Godley Head Walk

Sun set off Summit Road - A place you will always find us roaming about no matter what the season is. The Port Hills of Christchurch has basically become our second home. We love finding new spots to just hangout, listen to some chill tunes and watch the sun go down over the city/ocean.

Dinner at the lake in Te Anau

Lake Matheson - Home of the stunning mirror reflections!! Best to go at dawn or dusk before the winds pickup

Lake Ianthe wharf West Coast

Hanmer Springs Waterfall - A relatively easy walk located over the back of the main village, she's not a massive waterfall but still great to get active and go check it out

St Arnaud Wharf Nelson Lakes

Mildford Sound - We explored Milford by foot and were absolutely gobsmacked, it truly is one of the most magical places i have ever been. Hold fire for our explorations by boat coming soon

Tunnel Beach Dunedin

Abel Tasman National Park - Somewhere we visit annually and can never get enough of!!! Abel Tas is truly magical and somewhere everyone needs to have on their NZ bucket list. Beaut beaches, iconic NZ nature it just cannot be beaten especially in the summer time.

Kaiteriteri - Our camping stomping ground and the best base for all your Abel Tasman Adventures. Kaiteri also always has amazing sunrises that are totally worth the 4.30am wakeup call!!

Pupu Springs

Wharariki Beach - Wild coastlines and massive dunes I absolutely love this place!! The walk in is longer than most beaches but boy is she worth it!!
