Located about 1hr 15mins from Christchurch or 10mins from Cheviot you will find Tawanui Farm. A beautiful glamping layout, set amongst rolling farmland with incredible views. On offer is two super roomy Lotus Belle tents, a main hut and a very relaxing hot tub which is perfect for watching the sunset in.
Our stay at Tawanui was super enjoyable, we had perfect weather and really loved hanging out in the main area. Within this area is the kitchen, dining and shower/basin. The toilets are composting much like many other Canopy sites and are found a short walk away, so make sure you have a torch on hand.
This site would be so great for two small families holidaying together or a group of friends even a hens party! Your hosts offer ATV farm tours across their property - a great opportunity to get up close and personal with the many animals, or if your up for an adventure, give their Hurunui River Jet boating a try!
Although we were only at Tawanui for one night, we had the best time.. The tents have all the home comforts, the beds are cosy and nothing quite beats waking up to bird song. There is cellphone reception and a charging port in the main hut if needed but to be honest it’s nice to act as if your out of service. Take the oppourtunity to just be still and appreciate all that surrounds you.
